The music caught my ear when I was about to turn away from the television. It sounded like chillout music from Café del Mar. I thought I was tuned into National Geographic. It was the new advert from Tourism Malaysia. The music and the silky smooth voice of Natasha Wah Idris weaved magic into the song. The first line of the song, along with the visuals took my breath away. The music calmed me in a mysterious way and for a while, I floated into a dream.
Where on earth can an ordinary day
Begin in such an extraordinary way
Where can you watch the sunrise
And be near enough to touch it
(The highest peak in South-East Asia)
Or find yourself in unfamiliar surroundings
And yet have so many friends
(World-class dive sites, visibility up to 40 metres)

I actually like some of the Malaysian themed pieces, sang by choirs and paraded on the street. Too bad the lyrics a little out of tune from bridging people together.
